Definicions:

Videoart: Fonament artístic que utilitza el vídeo com a mitjà d’expressió.

Videodansa: Incorporació de la dansa contemporània en la creació audiovisual.

Net art: Obres d’art creades per Internet que exploten al màxim l’especificitat del mitjà: el potencial de comunicació i interacció en l’usuari.

Videoperformance: Col·laboració d’una actuació/ perfomance  en un vídeo.

Videoinstal·lació: Instal·lació basada en la difusió d’un o diversos vídeos en una sala tancada, en diferents sales o en l’aire lliure

Vídeo clip: Filmació en vídeo que l’acompanya o promociona una cançó.

Espai sonor: L’exploració artística de la sonoritat s’ha desenvolupat àmpliament donant lloc a una sèrie de pràctiques creatives anomenades en conjunt Art Sonor.

Summary of Tacita Dean:

Tacita Dean was born in Canterbury, England, in 1965. She life and work in Berlin, Germany.

She studied in a Falmouth School of Art in England, in a Supreme School of Art of Athens, and Slade School of Art in London. In 1998 she was nominated in a for a turner Prize and she was awarded a DAAD scholarship for Berlin, In 2000. She has received  the following prizes: The Aachen Art Prize in 2002; Foundation Sndretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy in 2004; the sixth Prize of Benesse at the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005; and the prize Hugo boss in the museum  Solomon R. Guggenheim, in New York  in 2006. She only participated in a Biennale of Venice in 2003 and 2005.
